I have not done any extensive testing of this battery, but it seems to be of equal capacity to the original battery. I have used it for several hundred pictures, mostly outdoors (only 5% with flash), and the camera did not say anything about "low battery" when I finally removed it for charging. It is very convenient to have an extra battery along for situations when you need to take those extra pictures.
