USB sockets on the side of my Samsung TV were hard to reach as it's located close to a wall - many thumbdrives simply couldn't be plugged in. This USB extension can be left plugged in and tucked away till needed. Makes connecting a USB thumbdrive, external HDD, etc. very easy without fiddling about and moving the TV.
