I bought it for fun with my cats. I have come to test it with distant buildings and calculate that have a range of 250 meters, but can be a bit more. For the money you have, the truth is that it is a very good product.
I can not talk about battery life because I received a few days ago.

It has also a small led light and a black light, useful as a money detector

Tem também uma lampada de led e luz negra, útil para detectar notas falsas, mas eu usei pra ver se meu esmalte que brilha na luz negra realmente funcionava, lol
