This is a well made UV (ultra Violet) light. Yes, you can check out some of the newer US bills but other things as well... Most credit cards have hidden marks and a lot of driver licenses. If you collect rocks I know there some minerals the will "glow" under UV light (I haven't tried this light for this so don't know if it will work for this or not). Over all a neat light light for the price!

The UV-light is bright and is easily powered by three rechargable AAA-batteries.
Pros:
I am satisfied with the flashlight and paid about half as much for it compared to the price at a local store.
Cons:
It becomes very hot after 5 minutes.
