I needed it for professional audio card, which require DC 12V, 1.25A. The other adapter, which was exactly 1,25 A didn't work well, so I needed a better one. This one work fine, give 12,45V without load (with load should be a bit lower, but I don't have equipment to check it).
A little bit longer cord will be good.

It's a charger so there is little to say about it. I use it for my Hard Disk Docking station and my HDX1000 mediacenter, but many other electrical equipment will work on it as well. Just compare the voltage and total of amps with your current charger. Build Quality is good and it even has a indication light of when it's on.
