Its a very Good choice to storage your 50mm I use it with a nikkor 50mm 1.8D and fit excellent, I dont like the "CORD Closure" but work nice!

I bought this case for a Canon 50mm f1.4, but it's really too small. The lens enter in the pouch but it so tight, too much be able to pull out easily.
Too bad because the bag is very well done, is good padded and protects the lens very well, but is much smaller than it looks. For a 18-55mm or a 50mm 1.4 is not suitable.
It is more indicated for a Canon 50mm 1.8, but I would choose to the larger model.

I bought this pouch for carrying my 18-55mm lens around (just in case) while using either a wide angle or a zoom lens with my DSLR.
Unfortunately the lens is a bit to large to fit this pouch so I cannot use it for that purpose. At the moment I'm using it for carrying Close-Up Access Lap (see DI018B).
Onto the review now..
The carabiner is made of solid plastic with a very strong grip and the neoprene is also of good quality.
Think well before buying for what purpose you intend to use it as I mentioned before it is a small pouch and will not fit all "small" lenses.

nice quality, offers good protection and a handy clip
tip: measure your lens and check the dimensions of the pouch, you're quick to buy a pouch that is too small
